This place has gone down on our scale. We camped here twice before for the Halloween weekends, but this was the first time we camped here in the spring. Now it very much has the feel of a seasonal campground-lots of people who knew each other and not many people like us who come for a weekend. The "greeter" at the gate was all business, telling us all the rules and not very friendly. The problem with the rules is they don't enforce them. Kids back at the campsites by 10:30? There were teens at the playground, next to our site, at 11pm. No kids under 16 at the pool without adults? There were 7 kids there without any adults when my family was at the pool. The lady in the store rolled her eyes at my daughter and said "I guess so" when she asked to cash in her game room tickets. Our pull-thru site was a gravel pad on a grass site. You had to pull through the grass, which was mud from the recent rain. They need more gravel in general on the sites and on the roads, especially in the wooded section. The last straw was Sat night when the campground put a pop-up at the site right next to ours- a pop-up with 12 people and 4 dogs and two vehicles. This area of the campground was almost empty. They could have put this large group much further away from us-we were the only TT in our entire row of sites. We may go back here for Halloween with friends, but never for a spring or summer weekend.

We stayed here because it was close to Washington DC and we'd stay here again for that reason. The pool are was very nice. One heated pool and one unheated, with plenty of lounge chairs and some umbrellas to sit under. There was a great hot tub in the pool area also and a full snack bar/cafe. There was a nice playground and mini-golf.They have an excellent store. On the downside, the sites are very narrow. At the back of the park where we were, the Wi-Fi was not working. We had to walk up near the conference center/pool area to get a signal. For the price we were paying I expected to get Wi-Fi at my site. Also, there were not a lot of campers enjoying the outdoors. Many class A motohomes that campers never emerged from, but that's their choice. We would probably come here again for it's location.

This park was downhill going into the campground and then up hill going up to the sites, but that is typical for the Pittsburgh area. The roads in the campground were gravel, but not well kept-- pretty rutted and uneven. The sites closer to the pool and play area are dug up-- looks like the sewer and electric are being re-done. Our 30 amp service wasn't working when we tried to hook up. The owner came and changed the breaker. The reason we stayed here was because it was close to downtown Pittsburgh, and that's the reason we would stay here again.

This is one of the best kept parks I've seen. Well maintained gravel roads and pads for your unit, nice grass between sites, artificial "rock" covering the sewer connections, nice picnic tables. The owners where very friendly and helpful. The only problem with the pull-through sites in front of the office/store is they are very narrow. We didn't use our awning due to how cold and windy it was, but we wouldn't have been able to sit under it if we wanted to because of how narrow the site was.

This campground has a high percentage of seasonal sites. Most are very well kept. Our site A9 was really large, especially in length, but was pretty unlevel. The front of our trailer needed lots of levelers. The campground was really quite, especially for a weekend. The pool was nice, and not crowded. There was a small pond for fishing, license required. There were two playground my kids enjoyed. No organized activities for kids or a game room. Definitely a place to come just for relaxation.

This campground is great! We had a site right on the lake, where you could fish right from your campsite. These site won't accomodate very large units though. They also have sites on the Susquehanna river, and even a couple with boat docks. The pool complex was very nice, with plenty of lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. There's a pretty good snack bar for snacks or full lunches. There were alot of organized activites, which we did not do. They rent golf carts, pedal bikes and surries. They have paddle boats and bumper cars on the pond. They deliver your wood and ice, and pick up your trash daily. The wifi was free, but really slow. Only a few channels on the cable tv. This campground is close to Knoebels and Shikellamy State Park. We will definitely go back to Splash Magic.

This was our second stay here. Our site was really difficult to back into due to a tree on the site right by the road. We got in by luck and also because the camper across from us didn't mind us pulling onto her site! Still a nice campground, but the help in the office/store not quite as friendly as last time we were here-dissinterested and some just plain rude. We wished there were more chairs at the pool area.

We loved our site here. It was very spacious and easy to back into. They have one of the best campground stores I've seen and a really nice deck area around the store were you can get wifi internet. They have a nice playground and open field for the kids. Quite a hill getting to the campground!

We had a great time here on one of their Halloween Weekends. The haunted house and haunted hayride, both free, were great. They also has a halloween dance with a dj that we didn't go to. Our site was level and had some nice shade trees, but wasn't wooded. They have wooded sites also. I was worried after reading one of the previous posts, about the "seasonal slums" and hearing gunshots from that area of the campground. Turns out the campground's next door neighbor is a sportsmans club with a firing range. There are no firearms allowed at the campground. As for the seasonal area, who are we to pass judgement on someone else's trailer? We thought the grounds were very well kept, bathrooms were clean and staff were friendly. We will definitely be back!!

We were disappointed in this campground. Our site was not shaded like we asked for, except for a line of trees at the back of the small site, and there was a shade structure built over the picnic table. We were in the lower section. There was an open sewer vent the diameter of a car tire on our site and I had to ask the office twice to have someone come and cover it. The pool was freezing cold! The game room, mini golf and activites were all very similar to every other campground we've ever been to so I don't understand why they call this a "resort" and charge $3.00 extra per night. This is a charge they don't put on their website or tell you about on your bill, unless you ask like I did. When I asked what the fee was for the lady at the registration said for the activities and amenities. But the activites were no different from the standard campground activities: crafts, dj dance, kids games. We will not be back to this overcharging campground. There are other nicer ones in this area to stay at.

We stayed at one of the sites in the back wooded area and loved it. Very spacious, and each site is separated by trees so if felt private also. We wouldn't like to stay in the front of the campground near the pool and store since those sites are very close together and not shaded. There were two pools, one for adults 21+ and one for families. The family pool was packed and no one was in the adult one. The whole weekend we saw 2 people in the adult pool. I think they should reconsider the adult pool. We didn't end up using the family pool because it was so crowded. They have a great game room that our kids loved. The store was pretty well stocked.

The sites here are some of the best I've seen at any campground. They are spacious, level, shaded and separated by trees, so they seem private. The entry road and the campground itself have some steep hills, but we made it in fine, if slowly, with our travel trailer and Durango. The pool area is beautiful and overlooks the valley below. There was a nice game room for the kids, with most games just a quarter! There were a few planned activities like ceramics, hayride, sing along and bingo. My biggest gripe is that they charged me $6 extra for having my nephew along (non-family child), after already charging me $1 extra for each of the kids, (3 in total). I didn't notice the charge at first or I would have taken issue with it. But I'd still come back.

This was a nice park and very convenient. The shuttle stops right at the campground and takes you into the Falls tourist area for $6 all day pass. A nice, clean pool and hot tub were available, and not crowded. There was a small game room and playground for the kids. The sites were roomy, although there were a lot of weeds at our site that we wished someone would have cut back. One other drawback is that the park is between a railroad and Lundy's Lane, which has a lot of traffic, so it wasn't the most quiet of campgrounds. We'd stay here again since we wouldn't be spending the bulk of our time at the campground while in Niagara Falls.

We stayed here as a stop off on our way to Niagara Falls. It is a beautiful campground. Many sites are right on the lake, although it looks like many of them are seasonal. Many other sites have lake views. There is not much shade near the lake, but shade sites are available further back. There are two small, very old playgrounds. No other activities for the kids, but we saw some paddle boats that may be rentals. Swimming is permitted in the lake. There is a very small camp store, mostly snacks and a few camping accessories. We'd stay here again, but only as a stop going to somewhere else

I'll start by saying this campground had so many fun activities, we didn't go hiking on Saturday as we had planned to do. The amenities were great. The employees were the friendliest we've met.The campground was full, but didn't feel overcrowded. Our site backed up to the playground and mini golf area, which was great since we have kids. Our site was on the small side, and we were smack up next to a cottage, but still OK. The only problem we had was the abundance of flies. They were everywhere. One camper said she's been going here for years and never experienced a fly problem before, so we will probably give the place the benefit of the doubt and come again.

This was our second time staying here for the free night of camping with KOA. We were met and escorted to our site. The staff were friendly. They've added a giant outdoor "connect four" game for the kids. We love the natural feel of this campground- lots of trees and boulders throughout. And we love the close proximity to Gettysburg Battlefield. We'll be back again next year.

We stayed here to explore the Williamsburg/Jamestown area. Our site and most others had a concrete pad so it was completely level, as well as a concrete patio. We were not in the shaded area, but even so there were lovely decorative trees throughout the campground. There was a nice playground. The pool was not open during our visit. We were able to purchase our Williamsburg tickets from the camp store, but the cashier neglected to tell us they were just vouchers and that we still needed to get in line at Williamsburg. One other problem that occurred, we came out of our trailer after dinner to find our site completely wet. Once we confirmed it was not our trailer leaking, we realized our sewer was overflowing. Management sent workers over to our site and they wanted to borrow our flashlights, hoses, extension cords to look at the problem. Finally they got there own gear and ended up using a back-hoe to dig up a few sites away to fix the problem. Took well into the night and was loud, but at least it got fixed.

This park ok. We had to try three sites before we got a level and big enough site, but the staff were very accommodating. It was almost empty when we were there in the fall. Kids loved the playground. Restrooms were pretty clean. The biggest reason to stay here is the proximity to both Washington DC and Baltimore. We'd stay again.

We loved it here and would come back again. Private and spacious sites, lots of trees and shade. Clean restrooms and snack bar area. Great pool and mini golf. The permanent site are all very nicely kept. Friendly staff. A quiet and relaxing campground!

We did not like this campground. As we were hooking up our "neighbor" called out of her permanent trailer to not step near her flowers! High percentage of permanent sites gave us the feeling of being outsiders here. Another "neighbor" let her dog relieve itself on the trees of our site several times. Very dusty due to the gravel roads. Sites were on the small side with no privacy.

There were plenty of activities here, such as hiking, swimming, playground, the blue rocks of course. But the other campground issues were so bad that nothing could make up for it. Dirty restrooms. Very small site with horrible sewer hook-upon our site. We smelled sewage most of the weekend. We were so close to the dump station that we had to put our awning down to accomodate a class c that needed to dump. One night the water went off just as we were getting the kids ready for bed! No many unkempt permanent sites. Would not go back again.

Our site was a bit small, but it was shaded and level, and had great boulders for the kids to play on. They have a clean pool, two play areas, and a giant outdoor chess set. There was also mini golf and outdoor checkers. Lots for kids to do. It was just a short drive into the center of Gettysburg, which is why we chose this park. We would camp here again.
